About the Founder

Monica George is a midwest-raised daughter of Egyptian immigrants, multi-talented creative, and purpose-driven entrepreneur.

With an affinity for music, social justice, and building community, she co-founded Amplify Lawrence in 2015– a grassroots organization that hosts empowering music camps for girls and LGBTQ youth. After 5 years as a Development Director in the nonprofit space, Monica pivoted to freelance copywriting after realizing she could merge her passion for storytelling with her desire to make an impact. She finds immense joy in helping BIPOC, femmes, and creatives scale their businesses, achieve financial freedom, and live their best lives.

Aside from being a natural wordsmith and creative, she spends the majority of her time traveling, cheffin’ it up, running numerous side hustles, and weaving mindfulness into her collective healing work. Catch her co-working in coffee shops around the world, making friends everywhere she goes and staying as close to the equator as possible.
